Join Our Team

Mother and Child Health Association (MACHA) was founded in 2016 and is a Swedish non-profit organization that works towards improving women’s and children’s health. Our main areas are healthcare and education. MACHA has ongoing projects in Kolkata and West Bengal (India) in collaboration with its partner organization Institute for Indian Mother and Child (IIMC) (http://iimcmissioncal.org) and in Sweden though several Global Health Projects.

Our team is based at medical universities around Sweden and you find local IIMC groups in Stockholm (Karolinska Institutet), Uppsala, Örebro, Linköping, Lund and Umeå. The IIMC project is a collaboration with the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) (https://www.ifmsa.se).

The MACHA team comprises students and professionals with different backgrounds. We all share a passion for Global Health and have a strong team spirit. We work voluntarily and meet for team meetings once a month.

We are now opening several positions in our Stockholm based team and are looking for engaged volunteers with an interest in Global Health to join us!
